Grasping at Threads

Time seems to be flying by faster and faster these days.

I wish it wouldn't. I wish it would slow down.

I have a confession to make about where I have been hiding.

Some of you who have been following me for a while know that I battled breast cancer back in 2013. And as of January 2014 I had completed chemotherapy and was holding my own trying to get my life back on track. But it wasn't meant to be.

Since last July I have been put through a bunch of tests and just before Christmas my husband and I got the news. The cancer is back.  =(

I have started up my cancer blog again and if you would like to follow along I will be updating it regularly. You can find the link here at Wendy's Breast Cancer Page on my husbands website. I will also post here on Savage Threads so you will know when there is an update.

I haven't been stitching very much lately. But since I will be starting up chemo again in a week or so I'm sure I will be stitching more. I did complete one ornament for my oldest son but forgot to take pictures of it. It was a freebie from Stitchers Anon entitled Bah Humbug. It was fun to stitch up and my son really seemed to like it. He's always been our Bah Humbug child. I never knew another kid that would rather have slept in on Christmas morning instead of getting up early to open presents.

The next thing I will be working on is an ornament for my son's girlfriend. It's Merry Christmas Grumpy Kitty from Brookes Books. I will have to remember to take pictures of this one before I send it off to its new home.

Happy Stitching friends!
